Red Dress Boutique- Shark Tank Episode

I have been obsessed with the Red Dress Boutique ever since I found it sometime last year or so online. At first it was the clothes that drew me in, then the new arrivals twice a day. Then I read the story behind the business and felt truly inspired!

I am also OBSESSED with the show Shark Tank! My fiance and I watch it religiously. I always joke that it brings out my love for entrepreneurs and local businesses. In college I was always one for supporting the local stores! Anyways... I teared up during the episode that featured the Red Dress Boutique a couple weeks ago. To see someone so passionate about what they do makes me so happy! That is honestly what it's all about!

As an aspiring entrepreneur I love seeing how other businesses begin. The best part is how realistic the owners were about when they started. They talked about the struggle, but in the end the payoff was unbelievable. 

Not to spoil the episode... but they got a DEAL with two sharks! I can't wait to see what the future brings this company, but until then I will continue to obsess over the daily arrivals :)

New Fall Launch- Men's Suit Collection

So far September has been filling up my social media feed with weddings galore! At the wedding I just attended on Saturday I was taking notes not only of the bridesmaid dresses, but of what the groomsmen were wearing for when I start to plan my own wedding!

Tassel Jewelry

All summer on Instagram I have been seeing amazing tassel pieces of jewelry that I absolutely LOVE! At the end of July I saw post by Southern Curls & Pearls on how to make them yourself!

So on Labor Day Weekend I decided to make a couple with my little sis!

Here is how they turned out:

You can pick a variety of bead & thread colors to make them unique to your style! I think they are the perfect transition from summer to fall! I got all of my supplies from Michael's, and overall it was pretty cheap. Make sure to use any coupons you have there as well (I know I always get them over email).

Erin Condren Life Planner

I am a huge fan when I comes to planning and organizing! All through college I had either Vera Bradley or Lilly Pulitzer planners. I figured this year I would try something new!

Erin Condren has a stationary and party planning company, and she is known for her Life Planners! She was also a Delta Gamma at UCLA.

My favorite part about the Life Planners are the way you can customize them! They have so many covers to choose from. They are also changable so if you get sick of the cover half way through the year, you can pop on another front & back. You can also add on sticker sets, notepads, basically anything!

I chose the Taffy Stripes in pink with my First and Middle name!

   

 

I also picked up some pens from Target to help color coordinate and organize!

Summer Nights

If you're anything like me, you love getting cozy on summer nights in a big sweatshirt. I just celebrated my 22nd Birthday so I got a few new bright & fun sweatshirts to add to my collection.


I have been eyeing the LOBSTAH ROLL Skipper from Lilly Pulitzer forever, so of course I HAD to ask for it:

I also have been wanting this fun lounge sweatshirt from Express that says "COFFEE FIRST" Now it's on sale for $19.99, can't beat that!

I think both are so fun for summer lounging after a long hot day!

Things I'm Loving

Here are some of my current obsessions on this rainy Wednesday afternoon!


1. The Voice - I am BEYOND obsessed with this show! I don't know what exactly it is about it, but definitely check it out if you haven't yet! I think my favorite part is the blind auditions when the coaches are turned around and can only judge by the quality of your voice! I love that! Plus I LOVE the coaches this season!!

2. Stress Relief Candle & Lotion- As finals and graduation approaches I LOVE using my stress relief lotion and burning my candle every day! It literally puts me in the best mood! Both are from B&BW!

3. MemoirofaPreppyMom on Instagram- I just recently started following a lot of preppy instagram accounts because I love looking at the outfits they put together. But this mom is the CUTEST! She has so many fabulous outfits, some even matching with her daughter. I hope I am a preppy mom one day! 

4. Marley Lilly Seersucker Koozie- My sorority recently won a contest with Marley Lilly which involved a $1,000 giftcard we could spend! So we decided to all get the seersucker koozies for the end of the semester! OBSESSED

When life hands you lemons...

I am totally obsessing over these LEMON Kate Spade Keds Sneakers! They are perfect for spring and summer outfits, not to mention oh so fun!

Yellow has become one of my favorite colors lately. In the past I have never been too fond of the color, but how can you not smile when you have it on? Below is a picture of me in a yellow quarter zip (stolen from my boyfriend). I love how BRIGHT it is! Of course I had to pair it with an ANCHOR hat, what DG wouldn't?! 

I have also been obsessing over making monogrammed phone backgrounds with the new Marley Lilly app! Here is a yellow gingham one I made!

Monogrammed Case

I just received the CUTEST phone sticker from an Etsy Store called MixandMatchonline!

I picked out the Preppy Bow with a Monogram Decal Sticker ( Navy & Pink ) and asked for it to be 2 inches so it could fit on the back of my phone. I love how it personalizes a plain case and makes it your own! It's also inexpensive at $3.50, which includes shipping :)

With all of the weather changes, I knew a Snow Day was in the near future and sure enough we had classes cancelled on campus today! So this has left me dreaming of Springtime and bright colors to take away this Winter Blues.

Where I go to school it has been absolutely FREEZING! The wind & ice make me want to never have a winter ever again. I have really taken advantage of my North Face Snow Boots & vests this winter. 

Here is the combo I came up with today:  

The vest I am wearing is Reversible and I JUST figured it out. On this side it is plaid with Gold & Green Stripes. Reversed it is just plain brown (I'm not sure where it is from, I got it as a gift in High School!)  Paired underneath I have a light colored chambray shirt from Express. For the bottoms I am wearing a dark jegging from Express, with my trusty black North Face Snow boots. 

As for the arm candy I have my DG Alex and Ani Bracelet & Silver Michael Kors Watch.

Cheers to a Preppy New Year!

 After being a complete fashion and lifestyle blog junkie I felt like it was a perfect time for me to start my own blog! I can't believe that 2014 is already here. 2013 seemed to fly by.
