Tim Tebow: Shaken

So fun fact about me I was born in Denver, CO and lived there until I was almost 7. So the Denver Broncos have always been a team of interest to me! John Elway is the reason why my lucky number is 7.

Tim Tebow's story always interested me because I feel like one minute he was playing for the Broncos and the next minute he wasn't. Blogging for Books provided me with his book Shaken to review. I definitely enjoyed it because I obviously have an interest in football and the Broncos. It is definitely inspirational that someone who went through all the highs and lows of life can still have the faith that his life plan is the way it is supposed to be.

Definitely pick up a copy if you're going through a rough time yourself! I would absolutely recommend it.

Approval Junkie

I feel like every summer I get back into the groove of reading lots of books consistently. Usually this is due to the fact that I go on vacations and tend to read a lot at the pool or beach.

One of the latest books I've read is called Approval Junkie by Faith Salie. This book is a biography about Faith's life and her "adventures in caring too much." I honestly picked this book off of Blogging for Books because of the title. I thought Approval Junkie sounds interesting and similar to many instances in my life!

Overall I thought the book was funny! The chapter titles were even more hysterical. I think if I had known more about Faith Salie beforehand it would have kept my interest a little longer. She talked a lot about how she started off in her career and about all of the instances where she was seeking approval.

If you know a lot about Faith Salie I would definitely recommend this book for you!

Life Lately

So I am finally getting settled into my NEW CITY! I just recently moved to Pittsburgh for my fiance and started working at an advertising agency.

It is so crazy that I am starting this new chapter in my life. I feel after you graduate college it is so easy to become lost. I am so happy that I finally found a job in my field and I truly feel like I belong there!

I mean how gorgeous is this city?! I definitely cannot wait to explore and make it feel like home.

Red Dress Boutique- Shark Tank Episode

I have been obsessed with the Red Dress Boutique ever since I found it sometime last year or so online. At first it was the clothes that drew me in, then the new arrivals twice a day. Then I read the story behind the business and felt truly inspired!

I am also OBSESSED with the show Shark Tank! My fiance and I watch it religiously. I always joke that it brings out my love for entrepreneurs and local businesses. In college I was always one for supporting the local stores! Anyways... I teared up during the episode that featured the Red Dress Boutique a couple weeks ago. To see someone so passionate about what they do makes me so happy! That is honestly what it's all about!

As an aspiring entrepreneur I love seeing how other businesses begin. The best part is how realistic the owners were about when they started. They talked about the struggle, but in the end the payoff was unbelievable. 

Not to spoil the episode... but they got a DEAL with two sharks! I can't wait to see what the future brings this company, but until then I will continue to obsess over the daily arrivals :)
