Better Late than Never- July 4th Post!

I actually went home for the fourth of July and was able to spend the holiday with my family and fiance! The day before the 4th we actually went downtown to Red White and BOOM in Columbus. This is like a huge deal at home, everyone from the suburbs (me) floods downtown for this million dollar fireworks show! There are also fun bars and food trucks to keep you busy before the firework show at 10pm.


For Red White and BOOM I wanted to keep it casual and fun! I went with white skinnys from American Eagle (it was chilly), an anchored and striped tank from Nordstrom, a jean jacket from Loft, and my Red White and Blue Toms!

The actual day of July 4th, my brother, fiance and I went out on the boat!

That night we met up with my friend to watch the fireworks by our house. I just changed into jeans, my toms, a navy sweater and linen tank from Loft.

Never to late for some 'Merica lovin! Hope you all enjoyed the 4th as well!

The Lucky Knot

I came across a store that combines so many amazing preppy items in one place: The Lucky Knot! Brands including: Lilly Pulitzer, Lauren James, Smathers & Branson, Kiel James Patrick, and so many more.

As for The Lucky Knot brand itself I am beyond OBSESSED with their anchor hats! The polka dots are such a perfect accent. 

Also these needlepoint hats are a must in any summer wardrobe!

Things I'm Loving

Here are some of my current obsessions on this rainy Wednesday afternoon!


1. The Voice - I am BEYOND obsessed with this show! I don't know what exactly it is about it, but definitely check it out if you haven't yet! I think my favorite part is the blind auditions when the coaches are turned around and can only judge by the quality of your voice! I love that! Plus I LOVE the coaches this season!!

2. Stress Relief Candle & Lotion- As finals and graduation approaches I LOVE using my stress relief lotion and burning my candle every day! It literally puts me in the best mood! Both are from B&BW!

3. MemoirofaPreppyMom on Instagram- I just recently started following a lot of preppy instagram accounts because I love looking at the outfits they put together. But this mom is the CUTEST! She has so many fabulous outfits, some even matching with her daughter. I hope I am a preppy mom one day! 

4. Marley Lilly Seersucker Koozie- My sorority recently won a contest with Marley Lilly which involved a $1,000 giftcard we could spend! So we decided to all get the seersucker koozies for the end of the semester! OBSESSED

When life hands you lemons...

I am totally obsessing over these LEMON Kate Spade Keds Sneakers! They are perfect for spring and summer outfits, not to mention oh so fun!

Yellow has become one of my favorite colors lately. In the past I have never been too fond of the color, but how can you not smile when you have it on? Below is a picture of me in a yellow quarter zip (stolen from my boyfriend). I love how BRIGHT it is! Of course I had to pair it with an ANCHOR hat, what DG wouldn't?! 

I have also been obsessing over making monogrammed phone backgrounds with the new Marley Lilly app! Here is a yellow gingham one I made!

One of my favorite parts of the day is scrolling through Instagram just around the time that Lilly Pulitzer posts their 5 x 5's! They are absolutely so perfect! I love seeing the new bright colored paintings by the oh so talented artists in that company. It is the best way to brighten up your day!

I just received the CUTEST phone sticker from an Etsy Store called MixandMatchonline!

I picked out the Preppy Bow with a Monogram Decal Sticker ( Navy & Pink ) and asked for it to be 2 inches so it could fit on the back of my phone. I love how it personalizes a plain case and makes it your own! It's also inexpensive at $3.50, which includes shipping :)

With all of the weather changes, I knew a Snow Day was in the near future and sure enough we had classes cancelled on campus today! So this has left me dreaming of Springtime and bright colors to take away this Winter Blues.


I am OBSESSED with all things Red Dress Boutique! I think my favorite part is how each piece of clothing has a name. It makes each piece more unique and easy to remember!
